This brand was surely one of the most hyped launches, recently. I’m not a big fan of the whole ‘celebrity brands’ hype, but this still got me excited, considering how cool the products looked, and they were well priced too. 

Just in case you don’t know, Anomaly is Priyanka Chopra’s Hair Care brand, that was launched in the United States, earlier in 2021. They have this amazing philosophy of recycling & spending less on packaging and emphasising more on their formulas instead. And their products are free from all the  ‘controversial ingredients’ too.

I immediately picked up these three products from Anomaly, with a lot of hopes. 

Keep reading to find out which one surprised me the most 👀

CLARIFYING SHAMPOO

 

 

Let’s start with the clarifying shampoo, since I got a lot of questions on it! 

I thought this will be a strong shampoo, that’ll get rid of all the dirt and build up in one go. You know that ‘squeaky clean’ finish. 

But this was different. 

It turned out to be a gentle shampoo. Like not quite literally ‘Gentle’ but like a ‘Gentle Clarifying Shampoo’. Which is a good thing actually, as some people have oily scalp and dry hair, including me. 

If you oil your hair lightly, this can take it off in one wash. For heavily oiled hair, two rounds will suffice. 

Texture is very runny, easy to work with. A dollop of it is enough for my scalp. After shampooing, even when I skip conditioner, this one doesn’t make my hair go all over the place. They’re still manageable. 

Overall, I really liked this shampoo. If you want something for your oily scalp, do check it out. 

Although, don’t rely on it, if you have extremely oily buildup prone scalp, or if you’re someone who goes 5-6 days without washing your hair. This won’t satisfy you.

Overall Rating: 3.8/5 

Good for people with mild buildup, and dry hair, who need clarifying shampoo once in a while.  Also, fragrance is okayish too.

 

LEAVE IN CONDITIONER

 

I initially made up my mind to buy their conditioner. But then thought let’s give the leave in one a try, coz we don’t have many options here. And I’m soo glad that I picked this one up!

It’s the most impressive product for me, from Anomaly. 

I use a pea sized amount on my damp/ almost dry hair, and tie a bun. After few minutes, when I run my fingers though my strands, I can feel how soft my hair becomes. Soo smooth, that it’s hard for my satin scrunchies to stay put XD

And the best thing is, that the effects last for good 2 days. My hair feels manageable even the next day. And works on just shampooed hair too. 

Not necessary to use a conditioner before this (of course you can, to amp up the results. But this won’t make you miss that step) 

Plus the fragrance is stunning too. Its mildly citrusy and stays for a while.

Overall Rating: 4.6/5

This doesn’t have silicones, so just in case you’re particular about this, it’s definitely a great choice for you! And a little goes a long way for this. Surely a must try in my opinion!

GENTLE  SHAMPOO

 

When I saw this, I assumed it to be a very gentle, everyday kind of a shampoo. But no, this one actually was a disaster for my dry hair! 

Firstly, it foams up weirdly. Like it’s hard to work with it, the very moment I apply it on my scalp. Secondly, it takes a lot of water to completely get it off my hair. 

And now, the worst part, I end up with having unclean hair with 10x  more frizz :’) 

Yes, this GENTLE shampoo makes my hair frizzy! 

Not a slight presence of ‘softness’ remains on hair when I use it. It’s been a long time since I’ve tried a shampoo that ruins my hair this way. 

Weird texture, doesn’t clean & makes my hair look untamed.

There’s not a single good thing I can speak about this shampoo.

Forget using it on oiled hair. This just is worst in every way. I’ll just keep it to clean my accessories. 

I’ll honestly pick Wow or mamaearth shampoo over this one. 

Will give it a 1/5 (I’m being generous here XD)
